By the title of this post, I’m sure many of you are wondering “What Boat?” and if you are an internet marketer some of you may already know. In any case, I’m going to share with you a little story about taking action.

In early July a new Product Launch hit the scene by Mark Hoverson. I cringed, another shiny object coming out by someone I know and trust. What’s a girl to do?!

Well, on thing I’ve been learning lately from my Global Information Network Trainings is to pay attention to who I’m listening to and to listen to those who have been where you are and have what you want.

I really like and respect Mark. I met him a year ago at a live event and then ran into him again at another event this year. He comes from a humble background and has come forth to kick some tail in Internet and Network Marketing. He has great teams and has put out great products to help our industry.

Long story short, I was so involved in other things that I chose not to promote the new product due to lack of time to promote it well. Instead, I knew it would be good and the bonuses some of the affiliates were putting out were fantastic. So, I bought it as soon as the cart opened. I was not disappointed.

First Video Session – The training opened with a contest announcement for students of the course. Within a 2 week span you needed to create a NEW product, market it and make some sales then submit your entry to participate in a mastermind session/weekend with serious industry leaders including a houseboat party. I’m talking ability to spend small group time with Jonathan Budd, Mark Hoverson, The Magnetic Sponsoring Team, Ferny & Ray from SEO Networker, Ann Sieg, Mike Klingler, and the list goes on. Then 10 up and coming students would win a special place on the boat. IMAGINE THE LEARNING TO COME.

Mark’s point was that a “caffiene product” as he calls them don’t take long to crate. Start small and them work your way up on the complexity leave. We’re talking about creating a small product here, not a super expensive master programmer needed system. This lit a fire under me.

I’d been putting off putting out a specific product for months because I needed the time to do put it together and do it well. Hoverson’s, first module was so releasing around getting over it and getting it done I decided I wanted on that boat.

I spent the next 8 days consumed. I didn’t sleep much. Every thought I could spare was about the product. Hubby helped with the kids so I could just get it done. I broke through a lot of tech barriers learning how to maneuver AmasonS3 and a new WordPress theme along with a new shopping cart, affiliate and member system . I also mapped out the 3 modules of my training. Then I spent hours recording and rendering the videos for the training. For marketing time, I did 5 webinars in one day from 530am to 9pm to hit all time zones. I was tired but I broke the the barrier of, “I don’t have time” or “I can’t do it in the timeframe alloted for it to be good”.

As Randy Jackson from American Idol would say – “I was in it to win it”.

The feedback from WordPress Express has been wonderful and I’m happy to be helping people in a new way.

And you guessed it — I found out this past weekend I came in # 5 and was awarded a spot on the boat! I’m thrilled to head to Austin, TX this weekend and can’t wait to see what comes of it. I was bouncing around all weekend and grinning from ear to ear.

I share this story from excitement and also from the point of asking some questions of you, as you know I like to do.

What areas are you holding back in your business because you don’t think you have the time or energy, or you have a barrier you need to break through?

What would help you take action?  What would help you breakthrough barriers? Is it that you need to set your mind to it and just get it done or is there something specific that has to clear for you?

If I can do it, I know you can do it. It’s about mindset and frame of mind. We get what we think about most.

To a great day ahead,
