Hey Everyone! As fate would have it I went on a glorious Siesta vacation and came back all fired up with new motivation for many different projects that I planned on sharing with you right away and what happens? I GOT SICK! Flat out, go to the doctor, end up in bed sick. It doesn’t happen often and I hate it when it does!

I do have 2 young children in the house who catch everything under the sun at school ,so I had a feeling my turn was coming, especially since my body was relaxed and my defenses were down. So, not only was I in catch up mode from a week away but I then ended up out of commission for a few days.

This solidified in my head the fact that entrepreneurs make bad sick people because we’d rather be working and playing than just lying there (although sleep was great!). And it also reminded me why the idea of leverage and “owning” your business rather than “running” your business are two critical ideas of importance. I love working and I love what I do but I also want to be able to take a vacation or time off for being sick and not have to worry about loss of income or lack of customer response because I cannot do some specific task.

That’s a much better position to be in and I prefer working that way.

We’ll dig more into those ideas in coming posts. Just wanted to let you know that I’ve returned to the land of the living. Thanks to all of you who follow me on my Facebook Fan page for the well wishes and concern. You’re great!
