Daily Dose of “Today I Will” – Day 6 – Be Direct
Posted by: | CommentsHey everyone! Our card today is quite a good one:
Today I Will Own My Own Power and Be Direct
Our message for the day is to be clear and honest in your dealings with other people and to be comfortable in your own truth because then those around you will be comfortable with you too. This card is perfect for me today as I have been in a quandry over what to do with a project and a how to handle the specific situation. I initiated the project and since then there have been a number of new developments on my end. I keep thinking I can make the project work but I came to the realization this morning that I won’t be able to move it forward without conflict. I have lost some sleep on it and at this point I get the fun of being direct.
Is there someone of something that you need to be direct about in your life?
Being direct doesn’t mean being rude and nasty. You can be polite and tactful while being direct.
Until next time,

Posted by: | CommentsHey there! I’m back with Day 4. We are finally getting some nice weather here in the Pacific Northwest and I sure am glad to see the sunshine. The words of encouragement I have for you today are the following:
Today I will act “as if” ( in a positive form)
The card continues on to talk about “acting as if” is a good way to get past a part of a problem or overcome fears and doubts and acting as if the situation is resolved. Now, if you’re in a tough spot financially with this economy, pretending it isn’t so is not what we’re talking about. We’re shifting the mindset instead from one of fear to positivity. We’re talking about the idea and concept we’ve heard so many times: What would you do if you could not fail?
For example, some people have a great fear of public speaking and before a presentation they visualize themselves giving their presentation in front of the crowd. Or a sports athlete envisions winning and psyches themself up.
While we cannot run from nor ignore our challenges in life taking a few minutes to shift your mindset into a positive area and work on removing fear and doubt will help us go a long way.
Where are you needing to act “as if” in your life?
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Posted by: | CommentsHello World! Today brings us the following thought:
Today I Will Focus On The Substance In My Life
The first couple of cards were a little easier to digest for me. This once gave me pause. The full card talks about not getting caught in the trappings of relationships and other areas of your life and being real. So, I paused to think about what being real means to me and I came up with the following (which is just a start):
I love my life, my family, my role in my community and giving back to make the lives of others better when I can. I am someone who likes to jump from task to task and get things done. So yes, I multi-task ALOT and while that is me, sometimes I don’t enjoy it and wish I didn’t have to be the queen multi-tasker. There are just too many things in life I want to do! I can be chaotic and run at a fast pace or I can go to the opposite extreme and get lazy. Friendships are important to me. I like people and being around people. I am caring and compassionate and I carry myself with a great deal of integrity. I strive to be positive as much as possible and believe the glass is half full. These things and more are a part of who I am and are real to me.
What about you? Tell me a little bit about being real for you.
I look forward to your comments.
