I’ve been in the internet marketing industry for a while now. And while I am not immune to shiny objects (new products launches) I have a keen eye for total BS hype that turns me off vs. someone who is just a downright good marketer hitting the emotions of their buyer and their needs. And yes, there is a difference.
Anyway, I follow quite a few of the “gurus” and am on many of their lists (a couple of which I pay a few bucks a month to be on because of the value). And many of you know I actually work for one of the “gurus” part-time with my coaching.
Well, to keep things simple, I’ve stayed away from some of the “gurus” to avoid information overload. Sure I might pop in to see what they are up to now and again but I didn’t opt-in.
I was WRONG to not pay attention to Daegan’s Maximum Leverage. There, I said it.
Now, Daegan and I are “facebook friends” and there are the random status comments and such. But I am wasn’t actually on his list. Until last week when I went all in.
My coach Kevin sent out an email that I happened to open and read as it came in. He was raving about Daegan’s program and Inner Circle. So, I flat out asked him: Why is this better than X, Y or Z? And I set him off. He gave me the 1, 2, 3 on why this program rocked.
I said I’d think about checking it out. 48 hours later I bit the bullet and became a member. I figured I had a 30 day return policy. Nothing to lose.
HOLY COW! I got more than I bargained for. I thought I was a no BS type of teacher. Daegan Smith is the same.
As I dug through the program – the step by step training is by far some of the best I have seen. It was easy to follow and fast to implement.
Everything from how to write better copy, how to grow your list, how to recruit better online and how to market offline.
Yes, he makes money teaching others. Yes, he sells products.
AND Yes – He’s increased my success in the short time I’ve been following him. I’ve added to my lists in the last week through his solo ad secrets, which has in turn brought me a few new buyers for a product I recently launched – just this last week. That is the all the proof in the pudding I needed that what he teaches works if you follow it.
Now the Inner Circle is for those who are serious about their marketing endeavors online. This is not for the faint of heart. There is A LOT of information in the program and you’ll need to pick and choose how you want to digest it otherwise you will get overwhelmed. There is an orientation on to how to best utilize the system, which I thought was actually a very nice touch. A lot of newbies, intermediate folks and advanced folks listen to Daegan and they pay him.
You will get moving fast but there is an investment involved in time and money. As a review I would be remiss if I didn’t indicate the cost is $197.00/month for membership and then the time to learn and implement.
I’ve decided this is probably the most comprehensive internet marketing training I have seen and he’s got a lot of testimonials from some of the internet marketing leaders. True or not, they’re willing to lend him their name and words which people don’t do unless the system or program works.
Sometimes, a shiny object is just a distraction. And sometimes it is just what you need. Maximum Leverage turned out to be just what I needed. Happy to share more about why I think this if you want to drop me a note.
Thanks for this very interesting review VaNessa – sounds like you’ve really found a winner. I’ve certainly retraced my steps (and opinions) on more than a few occasions so I can certainly relate. Thanks for the information and inspiration!
Hi Vanessa, yes, it certainly does sound like you found what you really needed! I’ve been the same also, when it comes to “gurus”. There were a few things I purchased last year, and benefited greatly, even though I had been resisting “following them” for awhile. It’s a good idea to have an open mind towards all products and assess them for what they are! Regards from Julieanne
Hello Vanessa,
Super post i’ve Tweeted, stumbled and dug it, how is your launch going BTW? 🙂
Hi VaNessa, I appreciate your candid review of Daegan’s program. Like you, I’ve been watching some of the IM “gurus” over time, and quite frankly I’ve unsubscribed from most of their lists because it all becomes nothing but one product pitch after another. The only lists I stay on are the ones that offer some value in between the pitches. Thanks!
Thanks for the great review of Daegen’s system, Vanessa. I’ve been looking at it from the outside for quite a while, just like you. I’ve been resisting it because, frankly I have been involved in too much training and need to implement all that I am learning.
But after reading your review, I will put Daegan’s course on the short list on courses to check out.
You won’t be sorry.
I’m in maximum leverage and the value in there is amazing. What an awesome tool to use!
Not only that but if you sign 2 other people up and they continue to pay each month, you’re membership is free every month. What a powerful concept!
Hi Vanessa,
This is a really authentic review of Daegens marketing program. I am familiar with his“solo ad” approach because:
1) A fellow colleague of mine ran his first one and the outcome was phenomenal.
2) I had an in depth discussion with another person who actually purchased and ran a solo ad. Again, the results are quite impressive!
I am working on several projects, however, as my wealth goals begin to manifest, I have a definite plan to investigate and pursue this program.
One thing you said that I found interesting is that, yes there are shiny objects, but sometimes there are programs that are just what you need. I wish you great prosperity and success!

Hi VaNessa,
Glad you took a second look and are more than satisfied with your results. The SOS (shine object syndrome) has gotten me in “trouble” more than once. I think I’ve got it under control now. Nothing like being addicted. LOL.

I’ve been following Daegen for a while and his stuff is top notch. We do have to be wary of the shiny object syndrome.
It feels so good to find that a product actually under-promises and over delivers. I think we’ve all been burned before.

Hi Vanessa,
Shiny objects… as you called them are so plentiful that it makes it hard to pick the ones that offer real value.
When I first decided to earn an income online I spent heaps of money …like a lot of us do… on ebooks and courses that I have not had the time to implement yet.
Yah sad I know …but the next guru always seem to have the answer I was looking for….so off I’d go looking for the answer.
Looks like you have found a winner with Daegan’s material…
Thanks for the review … will need to investigate.
Cheers
Bryan
Hi VaNessa,
I am very careful about being dazzled by shiny objects. I’ve signed up for too many things I didn’t have the time to really read all about it or invest in it. I am only a part timer and have other things on my plate so I am careful to not bite off more than I can chew. However, I am delighted for you that you have found something that is a blessing for you!

Daegan was the first guru I came across online, he opened my eyes to whole new world and I thank him for that. He brings the value and hits it home everytime.
Thanks for sharing that.

PS I don’t think I am very far from you. I am in the 253 area code.
Do you know about the 100% commission loophole?
